BIO
Ari Kessler is a versatile educator, pianist, musical director, composer and arranger currently based in the greater Los Angeles area.
Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, Ari holds a B.A in jazz studies from The Ohio State University and a Masters in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia.
Equally at home in a variety of educational settings, Ari has served as a Senior Teacher at Meeting House Afterschool, a pioneering social-emotion learning resource; as well as serving as a founding teacher at Music Explorers, an exciting new program at Teachers College, Columbia.
As Musical Director and principal composer for the Serious Theater Collective, Ari composed, arranged, and led several full-length theater pieces, including the award-winning "The Apocalypse of John" and the hit musical variety show "The Magic Jukebox".
